A Little Bit Closer

Living in Texas means HOT summers. This summer seems especially hot, but I say that every year. In addition to the heat, it seems the mosquitoes have decided that I'm their favorite entree'. Seriously! I can't venture outside with out being unmercifully attacked multiple times. I've tried everything everyone has told me or sent me. My next attempt to discourage their favor...I've ordered Avon SkinSoSoft Lotion. That used to work, but so did other things that are failing this year. But Enough moaning and groaning.

Staying inside the last few days has allowed me time to focus on the website. I've now officially moved from NEW to FINISHED WORK IN PROGRESS ALWAYS. HaHaHa! It's the same type of oxymoron as the way I describe myself - a cynical optimist. I have snuck in little outings here and there to plant something new, share a little patio happiness with someone else, water the plants that are gasping my name in shame, but Y'ALL!!! I think I'm ready for Fall.

I really just wanted to jump on here and say HI! I hope to start posting my more meaty and informative things very soon. In the meantime, don't forget to love you plants and give them plenty of water through this hottest time of the year, (at least in the Western Hemisphere). They are living creation, too. And that's one of the posts I hope to share...The Secret Life of Plants.
